In it's own metaphorical way, that represents this Bootleg DVD release to be a Terrorist attack on American Families by Chinese Pirates. China gets the money, and American Parents get the Legal Fines and Criminal Prosecution. And I'm pretty sure that their people in China know what is going to happens to those Parents when the FBI traces their purchases back to them.
But the Families who bought this release for their children most likely live in America. The sticker on the outside of the DVD shrink wrap says that the product was made in China. Make no mistake, sooner or later, these guys are going to get caught, if they haven't already, and when they do, the FBI is going to find all of your credit card numbers and addresses on file just as they will find mine. I can't tell if these guys are incredibly smart, incredibly dumb, or if they've already been busted and their website is an undercover sting operation by the FBI, but regardless of what it is, I just received one of their products in the mail. These people are advertising this Blu-Ray Release under the guise that it's officially licensed, and it's being showcased through Official Facebook Advertising, and parents are totally falling for it because they are too stupid to realize that every time one of them orders this product, they are giving their credit card numbers to a bunch of career criminals located in area of California and China. Is this visible only to me? Or is it visible to everyone. I cannot tell if the ads for this thing appeared on my Facebook account because it's being advertised all over social media in front of the eyes of the law, of if it appeared in my feed because of a possible adware virus that inserts it's own ads into the webpages. But the shoddiness of their efforts holds it back from being a great release because of the technical issues, and their attempts to sell it are putting parents and children in serious legal danger. This Bootleg Release looks like it was put together out of love for Disney because it's something that should have existed before they got to it.
Make no mistake, I'm all for bootlegging Song of the South, but what these guys have just done is so much worse than they realize. I am such a fucking hypocrite for doing this, because in all sincerity, I didn't really buy this bluray masterpiece to turn these guys in to the authorities, I bought it because it's a great idea for a product, and I would like to pitch their idea to Robert Iger and the Disney Board Members so that an Alternative Legal Release might be made that is of much better quality than what these shoddy bastards had to offer. No seriously though, I've written more than plenty about my background as a former theater pirate and video mixtaper who deconstructs Alamo Drafthouse preshows, and today I'm here to deconstruct a bunch of Wiinshop Disney Pirates right before the very eyes of Robert Iger himself, and the Austin Police Department, and the IPR Center, hell, I might even mail this article to the FBI and the CIA just for their reading amusement.
I love Bootlegs so much that I even once lost my genitalia in an unfortunate Bootlegging Accident.
